" I chose this photo because this is what dedication, loyalty, commitment, passion and sacrifice looks like. Nicole is beyond the best of the best! My labor lasted three days. She was there for all 3! Sometimes I can't believe it. By my side, allowing me to squeeze her hand throughout the night with every contraction. *tears

Talk about strong. . But she held the space with grace and compassion. I look over and there was her beautiful smile. She slept standing up or not at all. 

She made gentle but firm suggestions throughout my discomforts and helped me stay strong.  Her diligence was impressive. I had a hard time maintaining good breathing through my contractions and Nicole was so great about coaching me through breathing in a way that greatly minimized my pain. I know a lot of people don’t experience labor as “pain”, per se. I was not one of those people. Nicole nursed me through my three days of hell in a way even my husband could not, to come out the other side holding my perfect baby and feeling supported, empowered, and satisfied. I am beyond grateful for her gentle fierceness as she moved with me through my slow-burning birth portal.

I think my birth experience would have been completely different if we didn’t have Nikki with us. We were thrown a curveball by having to move from the birth center to the hospital but having Nicole there was  extremely helpful and comforting. I did everything I could to prepare for labor and birth but in the moment it’s much more difficult to remember it all. Nicole was there to help me feel comfortable, to remind me of all of the positions I could still go into despite being hooked up to many machines and she showed my husband how he could help during contractions. Having her knowledge, experience and presence is what made labor and the birth of our son a much better experience, despite the unexpected setting. A couple weeks after birth, Nikki came over to for the newborn session. We were blown away by her talent and plan to use her in the future.

Nikki's passion for her work, both in photography and birth, is what sets her apart and is why I would highly recommend her.

"I showed up with the simple jeans and white tank shirt. Nicole did what I asked, but then ask if she could try something, why would I say no. lol

When she showed up with the kimono my jaw dropped.
When she took this, her jaw dropped shaking her head with a BIG SMILE. (She has the most beautiful smile by the way)

I highly suggest using her as a photographer, her pictures are awesome and she does a great job of balancing her duties as both doula and photographer. She was always there when she was needed for support and still managed to get pictures of all our most important moments.

"It's hard to put into words how grateful I am to Nicole. Throughout my pregnancy she was there to answer my questions or just listen when I was nervous. She told me my baby's birth would be beautiful and it was! 
She arrived in the middle of the night and was there for me throughout labor. She is such a beautiful calming presence that she made me and my partner confident. I can still hear her voice "Let that one go!" You got this queen!". In between each painful contraction. Two phrases I can carry with me for stressful times everyday. 
Not only did she guide me through birth. She took pictures that my family can treasure forever!
