Watching your friends grow into their beautiful families is a true honor and an amazing blessing that brings immense joy and satisfaction.

It is a remarkable experience to witness the journey of those we care about as they transition from individuals to partners and eventually to parents. Each step they take in this process is filled with love, anticipation, and the promise of a new life, and being a part of that journey is truly special.

Laura and I have shared a long history, having attended both middle and high school together. Throughout those formative years, we forged a strong bond that has only deepened over time. We navigated the challenges of adolescence side by side, celebrating each other's successes and providing support during tough times. The memories we created during those school years laid the foundation for a lifelong friendship, one that has withstood the test of time and distance as we both embarked on our individual paths. It is heartwarming to see how our lives have evolved, and I feel grateful to be included in her journey as she embraces motherhood; as both her doula and photographer.

When I learned that Laura and her husband are passionate about nature and mountain biking, I was immediately inspired to incorporate that aspect of their lives into their maternity session. It was important to me that the photos captured not only their love and excitement for their impending arrival but also reflected their personalities and interests. Planning the session around the beautiful outdoors, surrounded by the majestic mountains they adore, would create a stunning backdrop that symbolizes their adventurous spirits.
